Within Phase II of the Osh Water and Wastewater Rehabilitation Project6 financed by the EBRD and the European Union training of Company controllers continues.
On 6 February Jamilya Kaparova, local expert of the Corporate Development Programme, expert on gender issues, well-known in Kyrgyzstan delivered a presentation.
The Company faces a need to introduce gender mainstreaming both in service provision taking into account the different needs and priorities of women and men in water provision and sewerage6 and in development of HR strategies to allow women and men equal opportunities in professional development.
As can be seen from the introduction above the presentation was devoted to the main basic issues of gender equality, the speaker also touched upon Kyrgyzstan legislation in the area of gender. The atmosphere of the training was lively and interested, it was well accepted byb the audience.
