SUMMARY
On Osh Water and Wastewater Rehabilitation Project Phase I

The total sub-project cost is €8.45 million, of which:
- €3.0 million is a loan of the EBRD to the Kyrgyz Republic on-lent to the Osh Municipality.
- €4.3 million is a grant from the Government of Switzerland through the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO).
- €1.15 million is a grant for Technical Cooperation services (€400 thousand were provided by EBRD and €750 thousand were provided by SECO).

- Rehabilitation of Osh WWTP:
Turnkey contractor: Fela Planung AG, Switzerland.
Estimated cost: €1,851.8 thousand.
Contract value: €1,812.4 thousand.
- Rehabilitation of the drinking water network / Osh, 7.1 km in total:
Turnkey contractor: Safari Ltd.
Estimated cost: €584,6 thousand.
Contract value: €441,6 thousand.
Total length of the newly constructed drinking water network: 5,7 km.
- Rehabilitation of the sewerage network (mainly laying of new pipes) of the sewerage network, 7.1 km in total:
Turnkey contractor: Usta JSC.
Estimated cost: €1,220.0 thousand.
Contract value: €1,175.2 thousand.
- Rehabilitation of pumping stations PS1, PS3/7, PS6 and PS10, including rehabilitation of buildings, installation of new equipment, fencing of restricted areas.
Sub-project budget: €1,831 thousand.
Contract value: €1,374.5 thousand.
- Procurement and installation of 3360 water meters for single family houses in Turan pilot district:
Sub-project budget: €1,788.7 thousand.
SUMMARY
On Osh Water and Wastewater Rehabilitation Project Phase II

The total budget of Phase II is about €10.7 million, of which:
- €4.75 million is a loan from EBRD including €2.250 million co-financed by the EIB. EBRD lends money for 15 years with a 3 year grace period and interest rate of Eurobor + 1,0% (inclusive of a floating rate), whereas the EIB lends €2.25 million for 25 years with a 4 years grace period.
- €4.875 million is a grant, of which €4.750 million is provided by the EU IFCA under a Delegation Agreement between the EBRD and the European Union Investment Fund for Central Asia, and €0.125 million is an investment grant of the Water Fund.
- €1.015 million has been allocated for post-signing Technical Cooperation.
Sub-projects:
- Further refurbishment of wastewater treatment infrastructure, including
- Return sludge and waste activated sludge systems.
- Refurbishment of existing secondary sedimentation tanks.
- Refurbishment of aeration tanks.
- Rehabilitation of pumping stations PS2 (PS12), PS4 and PS8.
- About 10,000 household water meters in Amir-Temur, Ak-Tilek and Dostuk.
- Procurement of laboratory equipment.
