On June 22 the Advisory Committee of the Osh Municipal Water Company met again.
The Advisory Committee is a consultative and advisory body, designed to provide for effective interaction and consultative process between Osh residents, non-governmental organisations and other stakeholders with Osh governing authorities on issues related to water supply and sanitation.
At the meeting on June 22 representatives of civil society, including NGOs and specialised academic institutions
Discussed implementation of the Osh Water and Wastewater Rehabilitation Project, financed by the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development in cooperation with a range of international co-financiers and cooperation programmes, as far as planned investments and procurement and corporate development.
Received and discussed the report of Osh Water Company on results of 2017 and implementation of the Public Service Agreement.
Received and discussed the report of International Centre Interbilim on results of drinking water monitoring in Osh, that monitoring was carried out within development of the joint NGO – Osh Municipality programme of monitoring of municipal services.
The meeting resulted to be very informative, civil society representatives asked Water Company management a lot of questions on water supply quality, results of the company in the past year, first results of implementation of the programme of installation of household water meters in Turan pilot district, on rehabilitation of the water supply infrastructure.
